Mullaghmore Beach & Head

Mullaghmore is located between Cliffoney and Grange in County Sligo. The beach is approximately 3km of white sandy beach and is a very popular surfing spot.

This large sandy beach is perfect for a peaceful walk or watching surfers take on some of Ireland’s biggest waves. Nearby, Mullaghmore Head offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, with the silhouette of Classiebawn Castle in the background — a popular photo stop and picnic spot. 

Mullaghmore is a small fishing village and popular holiday centre. The beach is a sandy beach stretching as far as the eye can see. It is safe for swimming, windsurfing and water sports, with sheltered anchorage for small and medium craft at the harbour. It is also renowned for being a base for licensed angling/passenger boats for charter, sea angling and trips to Inishmurray Island.
