In recent years the food scene in Sligo has come to the attention of national and international media. For many years the town and county has quietly built up an impressive choice of restaurants, cafes and gastro pubs, supported by quality artisan producers. It’s been a quiet revolution which has led to the formation of Sligo Food Trail. The Glasshouse are proud members.

One great way to meet some of the artisan producers Sligo is famous for is to visit one of the markets during your stay. Sligo Farmers Market, Strandhill Peoples Market, Rathcormac Craft and Food Market and Beltra Country Market all take place at weekends.
